Cut the Challah Bread into 3/4 inch(2cm) thick slices.
In a bowl combine milk, eggs, honey, cinnamon, cardamom (if using), vanilla, and salt. Mix till everything is incorporated.
Preheat a cast-iron skillet or any frying pan you have with the butter on med-heat.
Transfer the milk liquid to a baking dish. Add as many slices as you can fit (see photos above). Let them soak up the liquid for about 30sec on each side.
Transfer them to the hot skillet and cook till golden brown on each side.
Keep them in a warm oven while you make the rest.
When ready to eat, you can add toppings of your choice - butter, maple syrup, honey, berries, whipped cream, nuts... Anything your heart desires.
Enjoy while warm!
