Golden Latte

The inner sunshine for your body, aka Golden Latte. This beverage will truly make your winter day feel like summer! Comfort in a cup.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk of your choice
  • 1-1¼ inch (3cm) Fresh Turmeric, or ½ t ground turmeric
  • 1-1¼ inch (3cm) Fresh Ginger, or ½ t ground ginger
  • t black pepper
  • 1 t honey, or another sweetener of your choice

Optional

  • ½ t cinnamon or cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. If using fresh turmeric and ginger, grate them with a zester or a grater. You can also just chopped them into small pieces.
  2. In a saucepan add the milk, turmeric, ginger, and back pepper. If you would like you can add the cinnamon stick or powder at this point too.
  3. Simmer on low to med heat for about 15-20min.
  4. Take off the heat and using a strainer pour into a cup.
  5. At this point, you can add the honey and powder cinnamon if using any.
  6. Enjoy while hot!
