This Plum upside-down cake is the perfect summer dessert. Quick, easy, and super tasty!

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Butter, melted
  • 100 g Dark Brown Sugar, 1/2 cup
  • 400 g Plums, 3 -4 fresh plums
  • 130 g Pastry flour or AP Flour, 1 cup
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 100 g Granulated sugar, 1/2 cup
  • 120 g Yogurt, 4% fat or more, 1/2 cup, or Sour Cream
  • 1 Egg

Optional

  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F(180F)
  2. Melt the butter.
  3. Line a 9 or 8 inch springform with parchment paper. Butter the sides and bottom.
  4. Sprinkle the dark brown sugar evenly on the bottom of the springform and arrange sliced plums.
    *Note: You can also mix the sliced plums with the brown sugar and then arrange them onto the springform.
  5. In a bowl combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cardamom(optional).
  6. In another bowl, whisk melted butter and granulated sugar. Add the yogurt and egg. Mix everything again. Add the flour mixture and mix just until to dry patches remain. Transfer the batter on top of the plums and gently spread.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes(dipanding on your oven) or till a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cook for a few minutes before taking it out of the springform.
  9. Add a plate on top of the cake and flip it upside-down. Remove the parchment paper. Enjoy!
