Hello and welcome to Crumbles of Health.
I’m Milena, a food and wellness blogger, photographer, and chocolate lover.
Here you’ll find delicious seasonal, wholesome recipes that are full of flavor, made with special attention to ingredients, and have the power to heal your body from the inside out. I also share delicious, decadent, and indulging recipes for those days when all you want is a bucket of ice cream and a bag of cookies.
Eating right is important for our well-being.
No matter what you decide to eat today, remember to balance it tomorrow!
Have fun and enjoy every bite!
Recipe development
I create my recipes with lots of love and attention to detail. Each recipe is tested multiple times for flavor, texture, ingredients, and technique before being published.
As a recipe developer, I believe measuring the ingredients in grams is the most accurate way to achieve the best result. I highly recommend using a kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients.
Food philosophy
Living in a pretty toxic world and trying to avoid all the harmful and unhealthy substances can be hard. This is why paying attention to what we put in our bodies is very important for our well-being. Unfortunately, just because we eat a salad every day is not enough anymore, we have to look beyond what’s on our plates. Most importantly, we have to ask, “Where did it come from and how was it raised/grown?
Using ingredients that are organic and free of pesticides, hormones, and chemicals is something everyone should care about, and look for. Because the food we eat makes us who we are – sick or healthy!
I believe balance is the key to healthy living. Eating too much of anything, whether a salad or a chocolate cake, can result in health problems. And while I am all about nourishing the body the best way possible, having the “not so healthy” food once in a while is OK!!
We are not perfect, and that’s okay! Balance is not just about what we eat, but how we live our lives. Stress, work, exercise, food, and the environment – they’re all connected!
I’ve never been a fan of restrictions and diets! Why? Because we are all different, one diet will never work the same for everybody. Do what works for YOU! Eat what makes you happy, while living a balanced life.
Photography
As an artist and creative soul, I wanted to find ways to incorporate my interest in food with my urge to create. Food photography became my passion and a way to express my creativity. There is something very special about capturing the beauty of food.
I wanted to learn everything I could about food photography, so I started taking online courses and eventually enrolled in a photography school, but most importantly, I practice, practice, practice!
For me, photography is not just simply taking a shot, it is capturing a moment and telling a story through the lens. An image must evoke a feeling.

About me
I’m a happy mama to a sweet little boy. When I’m not in the kitchen cooking and testing recipes, I love going for walks, planning my next trip or a recipe, or just reading a book.
Besides creating recipes for Crumbles of Health, I am a recipe developer and photographer for other sites too. Here are some of the recipes:
Buttery Ham And Cheese Biscuits
Previously on: I graduated with a degree in fashion design. After a few years, I enrolled in a nutrition school, but shortly after, I realized it wasn’t for me. During that time, I was exploring the vegan diet when I discovered the beauty of food photography. This is when I realise how much I like photography, so I decide to study photography and later on marketing.
I’ve worked as an SEO specialist and social media manager as well as a food and product photographer.
I think every woman should read: “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” by Toni Weschler
Foods I couldn’t live without: Avocados, chocolate, and homemade bread.
